Our Story
Located south of Hawley on Highway 31, Venue31 sits on the Kasin Farm—a family operation dating back three generations. What began as a working dairy farm with one of Clay County's oldest barns (built in 1918) has evolved into a premier wedding and event venue while maintaining its agricultural heritage.
When the Kasins decided to pour new concrete in their barns, they added a bar and transformed the space into an ideal gathering place. After hosting parties and a benefit, word spread, and Venue31 was born. Karen and Bailee Kasin, who enjoy decorating and organizing, have created a shabby chic environment with weathered wood, globe lights, chandeliers, and painted white chairs that complement any style while offering the perfect rustic backdrop for photographs.

Our remodeled pole barn comfortably seats 350 guests and can accommodate your ceremony, reception, and dance all in one beautiful location.

While Venue31 is a popular wedding venue perfect for that trending rustic theme, we're much more than that. Our remodeled pole barn hosts benefits, private parties, class reunions, and vendor events. We're proud to support our Hawley community by offering our space for local organizations and events.
The Kasin family also hosts Breakfast on the Farm, welcoming over 3,000 guests to experience farm life with breakfast, a barnyard petting zone, kiddie tractor pulls, wagon rides, and live entertainment. We believe in offering people the opportunity to connect with agriculture and the beauty of rural Minnesota.
